Activities

An activity bus is available to transport students home from after-school activities such as sports, remediation, and after-school clubs on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

Drop-off locations are determined based on student needs.

Student Council at Lake Hills consists of representatives from each classroom in grades 3-6, totaling 12 members. Representatives are nominated by their peers or classroom teachers. Student Council meets weekly to plan community service projects. The service projects include, but are not limited to: Pennies for Patients, bi-weekly recycling, sending letters to our friends in the armed services, annual Heart-o-Grams for Valentine’s Day, and creating encouraging posters for students taking standardized tests.

The National Elementary Honor Society at Lake Hills consists of students in fourth through sixth grade. The students are nominated by their teachers based on outstanding academic achievement, character, and school and community involvement. The students meet bi-weekly to discuss community service projects. 

 Under the sponsorship of Shariann Forker, sixth grade students learn communication techniques and radio program formatting.  Students inform, educate, and entertain the school on the station WLAKE Radio via the school's intercom system. They give daily announcements, Lake Hills’ RESPECT statement, and say the Pledge of Allegiance .

The Math Club at Lake Hills is called the "Crazy 8s Club." Students work together, build together, and bond over math in a whole new way. Up to 16 students in grades 3-5 participate in this fun after-school club.
